In addition to measuring AC current with the clamp, it also measures AC/DC voltage, resistance, capacitance, and diodes, making it a versatile tool for both hobbyists and general electrical troubleshooting. The display is easy to read, includes a backlight, and I also appreciate the built-in LED flashlight on the front—it has come in handy more than once when working in dimly lit areas.

Keep in mind that the AC current clamp only works when measuring a single conductor. This isn't immediately obvious if you're new to clamp meters, and it's easy to assume you can simply clamp around an appliance's power cord. Because the hot and neutral conductors carry equal and opposite currents, their magnetic fields cancel, so the clamp won't measure the appliance's current that way. You'll need access to a single conductor (or use a line splitter) to make an accurate measurement.

Overall, this is a good value for the money. If you need an inexpensive, compact meter with a wide range of functions, it's hard to complain at this price point. Just be aware of the limitations of the clamp function and use it accordingly.
