Great meter for the price. Tough.

Great meter for the price. Tough. It lasted well over a year of heavy dirty use and been thrown around in the back of a truck. It started to turn off randomly when opening the clamp, but if it does this disassemble it and clean it and wipe off any dirt and grime that might gotten in. I did that and went to function normally. One nitpick is that is it has a tough time measuring amps below about half an amp DC.

Excellent Tool for the Money

Excellent for the money, and would be a great buy at twice the price or more. As received, my copy is considerably more accurate than it's listed specs -- I have a couple high end HP and Fluke multimeters and I found this little Astro AI measures AC and DC voltages within 0.2% of those meters in the tests I ran from low millivolt sources to power line at 122 VAC. The features are the most comprehensive I've seen on a multimeter, with such functions as resistance and diode measurements, frequency measurement, the Hold button, the Live and No Contact voltage sensing, and the non-contact current measuring system making it an all-in-one electrical measurement tool. Time will tell if the accuracy remains stable, but even if the calibration error doubles or triples, it will still meet 99% of my needs and likely 100% of what most people need..

BTW, don't be fooled by the description of the color as Blue - it's a deep red-orange as shown on the order page, which is fine with me.

I have multiple fluke meters but wanted a DC clamp meter. I was weary because it’s so cheap but the features are awesome and it seems to be accurate.

Awesome service and product works great at finding partial and fully grounded wires on auto. This greatly helps reduce the time when you wake up and find dead battery. I found the positive ground in about 20 minutes.
