What is the difference between an open flow chuck and a closed flow chuck?

An open flow one will allow air to blow through the fitting as soon as you plug it into the air line. When the closed one is plugged into the air line, there is no air coming out until it is attached to a fitting.

Why does not this chuck let air out?

It should. It will connect to the end of your hose either directly or by a quick connect adapter.

Chuck some Air in it

Phenomenal build quality. I bought these to replace the locking air chuck that broke on my digital inflator. Upon receipt and comparison, I could instantly tell these are beefier. The corners are a bit sharp and a little rounding wouldn't hurt but I'll take a high quality and affordable tool over a pretty one any day. And after two years, I'm still on the first one without any issues.

One other downside of it being bigger is sometimes I have to wiggle it a bit to get it past some hubcaps, but they're few and far between. Definitely recommend grabbing a pair of these to upgrade or repair your tire inflation setup.
